MS Football Sweeps Two From Michigan Center

The Hanover-Horton Comets middle school football teams defeated Michigan Center in both games Wednesday evening. The 7th grade team improved to 4-0 with a 8-6 victory. The 8th grade team went to 3-1 with a 26-16 win. The Comets are at home next Wednesday starting at 4:30 facing Reading.

Soccer Team Advances to District Semi’s

The Hanover-Horton boys soccer team rolled Quincy Wednesday afternoon 8-0 to advance to the district semi-finals to be held at Sharpe Park on Monday against Michigan Center. The Comets took a 7-0 halftime lead before scoring early in the second half as the game was called on the MHSAA mercy rule. Game time for Monday

8th Grade Volleyball Defeats Manchester

8th grade defeated the Flying Dutchmen of  Manchester tonight, 21-8, 21-13, 21-8. Next game home on Monday! Our Record is 8-0 in the conference 🏼🏼 Nice team work, ladies! 7th grade volleyball took one set from Manchester last night with scores of 14-21, 17-21, 21-15.

MS Cross Country

The Comets battled it out against Napoleon and East Jackson yesterday at Ackerson Lake. The boy’s team won 16 to 26 against EJ but was defeated 29 to 10 by the Pirates. The top four scorers for the boy’s team were Nicholas Sorrow with a Season-best of 12:27, Landen Boulis, Evan Shepherd, and Zach Hassenzahl.

Comets Soccer Hosts Quincy in District Game Wednesday

Coming off a 3-1 victory over Columbia-Central Monday in the Independant League crossover game, the Hanover-Horton Comets boys soccer team will host Quincy in an opening round game of districts starting at 4:30. The winner will advance to the district semi-finals being held at Columbia-Central at 4:30 Monday October 14. Hanover-Horton is the 1 seed
