Middle School Football Camp July 9 and 10

HANOVER – HORTON M.S. FOOTBALL 2020 Camp will be held July 9th and 10th from 5 – 7 p.m. Cost is $20 and includes a Comet’s shirt. If you don’t have a printer, I will have forms at camp. Bring $20 and a parent with you to sign the form. We will begin lifting July

High School Workout Times

Here are summer workout times. Workouts may begin Monday at 8:00AM. The procedures that must be followed may change at any time based on recommendations from the state and county health department. Varsity and JV Football: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursdays 6:45 PM to 8:00 PM Volleyball: Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM

Girls Golf Clinic

The Hanover-Horton girls golf team will have a clinic Monday and Tuesday June 15 and 16 from 9:30 to noon. The clinic will be at the Cascades golf course driving range.

Bottle/can drive Saturday June 13, 8 to 11 AM

The Hanover-Horton football program will be collecting cans and bottles on Saturday June 13 in the back of the high school by the locker rooms. Coaches will be collecting from 8 to 11 with all proceeds going to the H-H football program

MHSAA Guidelines; May 29

MHSAA Guidelines: The MHSAA has published its new guidelines for athletics starting with summer workouts. There are several areas that need to be addressed before Hanover-Horton may open any facilities. Please see the guidelines posted above if you have any questions.

H-H Athletic Boosters Golf Outing

The Hanover-Horton athletic booster club is holding its annual golf outing at Arbor Hills on Friday June 26. The 4 person scramble is a shotgun start at 9:00 AM. Cost is $70 per person or $280 per team and includes golf, cart, hotdog, chips, 3 drink tickets, and fun. The boosters are also looking for

Mike Schick Named Boys Soccer Coach

Mike Schick has been named boys soccer coach at Hanover-Horton replacing Robert Johnson who had a work conflict with this season. Coach Schick assisted Coach Johnson last year and is excited to get started. Hanover-Horton athletic department is very happy to add Coach Schick to the coaching staff.

MHSAA New Guidelines and Update

The MHSAA has changed the requirements for physicals for the 2020-20201 school year. Because of the Covid virus, if a student-athlete had a physical on file last school year, they will not need a new one this year. The MHSAA explained this decision based on doctors believing that they will not have enough available time

Athletes Stay Active at Home

During this unprecedented time, I find it important to hope for best case scenarios while understanding possible worst case ones.
