The Hanover-Horton Comets boys basketball team visited Warren Lincoln Saturday evening and stepped in competition facing Class A perennial power Detroit Martin Luther King and came away with a 55-52 victory. The Comets came out swing and took an early lead only to have King fight back and take a 6 point halftime lead. The Crusaders increased the lead to 10 midway thru the 3rd quarter, The Comets fought back and took a 1 point lead with just over two minutes remaining. The Comets kept King from regaining the lead and watched as a last second King 3-point shot fell short to secure the win.
Luc Laketa 17 points and Mitch Sauber 16 points led the Comets. Jack Brockie added 9 points.
