The Hanover-Horton Middle School girls track team traveled to Shepherd Wednesday and won the MegaMeet, the largest middle school meet in Michigan! There were a total of 98 teams entered in the meet. Hanover Horton scored 67 points to win the small school division, and scored the most points of any girls team entered in both the large and small divisions. Mayson Scally won pole vault, Olivianna Watkins won the 200 hurdles with her best time of the year, 31.01, and the 4×100 team of Dana Olund, Ally Beneke, Alayna Shackelford and Olivianna Watkins were 1st in their event with a season best time of 54.22. Olivianna Watkins was 2nd in the 55m hurdles, and Ally Beneke was 2nd in high jump. The 4×200 team of Chelsea Russ, Natalee Krage, Alayna Shackelford and Draya Valente finished 3rd in their event, and the 4×400 team of Natalee Krage, Sophia Reynolds, Chelsea Russ and Sydney Fazekas also placed 3rd with a season best time of 4:27.61. Sydney Fazekas was third in the 800 run, and Sophia Reynolds was 6th. What a great finish to a spectacular season!
